Care Instructions

Keep your edge. Protect your gear.

Your Skele10 batting gloves are built from premium leather designed to perform at a high level. A little care goes a long way toward keeping that broken-in, second-skin feel session after session.

Quick Reference

  • After every use: Air out flat and wipe down with a damp cloth.
  • As needed: Spot clean with leather soap.
  • Every few months: Condition with Neatsfoot Oil or leather balm.
  • In humid conditions: Apply a silicone-based water protectant spray.

One Last Thing

When you hit your walk-off, take off your Skele10s before your teammates douse you with water bottles. The leather will thank you.

1. Post-Game: Air Them Out

After every session or game, pull your gloves out of your bag immediately. Lay them flat or hang them in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat.

2. Cleaning

Wipe them down with a soft, damp cloth after use. For deeper cleaning, use a small amount of leather soap such as Lexol applied sparingly with a cloth.

Never submerge your gloves in water or run them under a faucet. Saturating the leather can warp the shape, weaken the fibers, and ruin the fit.

3. Conditioning

Every few months, or more often in dry climates, apply a small amount of Neatsfoot Oil or a dedicated leather balm using a soft cloth. Do not over-condition.

4. Weather Protection

In high-humidity conditions, a light silicone-based water protectant spray can help repel moisture without stiffening the leather.

What to Avoid

Small mistakes shorten glove life fast

  • Do not store your gloves wet or balled up.
  • Do not expose them to extreme heat such as dashboards, dryers, or radiators.
  • Do not use chemical solvents or harsh household cleaners.
  • Do not over-condition the leather.
  • Do not use mink oil or heavy waxes that can kill your feel for the bat.
